Woodland Locations:
Demonstration Sites
Three of the sites have been chosen as demonstration sites to showcase the restoration work of the project. These are located at:
- Clonbur, Galway Mayo border (Site 1)
- Hazelwood, Co Sligo (Site 3)
- Cahir Park, Co Tipperary (Site 6)
Each demonstration site, which is close to a population centre, has an interpretative display board(s) which provides general project information and specific site information to the visiting public.
The purpose of these demonstration sites is to inform visitors to the woodlands of the restoration works and raise public awareness of priority woodland habitats.
